Kiley Sours-Miller Achieves Milestone as 20th NJCAA All-American for Pima Women’s Basketball

The Pima Community College Women’s Basketball team has the spotlight this week as the NJCAA announced its All-American teams, recognizing outstanding players across the nation.
Freshman post player Kiley Sours-Miller earned a prestigious spot on the First Team NJCAA Division II All-American list. This marks a notable achievement as she becomes the 20th All-American in the program’s history and the 19th under Coach Todd Holthaus.
Sours-Miller’s accolades include being named the ACCAC Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and receiving First Team All-ACCAC, All-Region I, Division, and All-NJCAA Division II Tournament honors. Last season, Rylei Waugh held similar honors, showcasing a strong trend in Pima’s recruiting.
Over the course of the season, Sours-Miller participated in 34 games, starting 30 of them. She showcased her skills by averaging 18.2 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game. An impressive shooting percentage of 59.9% contributed to her remarkable season, during which she recorded 17 double-doubles and was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Week seven times.
Her statistics are substantial: 618 points and 363 rebounds over the season, including scoring in double figures in 33 games. Notably, she reached a career-high of 34 points in two games and recorded 18 rebounds in another.
Sours-Miller’s impact helped the Aztecs reach their first NJCAA Division II National Championship game since 2011. During the tournament, her performance was stellar, averaging 19.0 points and 10.0 rebounds across four games.
She joins an esteemed list of NJCAA All-Americans from Pima, which includes well-known names such as Latrina Bennett (1994), Jessie Ingraham (2008), and several others through the years.
Coach Todd Holthaus, now in his 18th season, has fostered a remarkable environment, producing an NJCAA All-American in 15 seasons. The Aztecs have achieved All-American status in eight of the last nine years.
This season, the Aztecs concluded with a commendable 29-6 overall record, their best performance since 2011. They have surpassed 20 wins for the ninth consecutive year, excluding the 2020-21 season impacted by COVID-19, and achieved this milestone in ten of the last eleven seasons. At home, the team recorded a strong 14-2 performance at the West Campus Aztec Gymnasium.
