PCC’s Camacho Dominates with 15 Strikeouts, Named ACCAC Pitcher of the Week

Pima Community College softball pitcher Belen Camacho, a talented freshman from Pueblo High School, has earned notable recognition for her recent performances. During the week of March 30-April 5, she delivered two quality starts, leading to her selection as the ACCAC Division II Pitcher of the Week.
In her two games, Camacho secured victories over Central Arizona College and Mesa Community College, demonstrating her pitching prowess. Over 11 innings, she allowed just two runs, none of which were earned, while striking out 15 batters and issuing six walks.
So far this season, Camacho boasts a record of 5-3 across 12 appearances. She has pitched a total of 42.2 innings, maintains a 4.43 ERA, and has recorded 52 strikeouts.
The Aztecs are set to return to action this Saturday at the West Campus Aztec Softball Field, where they will face Paradise Valley Community College in an ACCAC conference doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at noon.
