2 Children Injured in East Valley Collision; Intersection Shut Down

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — A multi-vehicle crash on Sunday night has resulted in serious injuries to two children, prompting their hospitalization. The incident unfolded at the intersection of Shea Boulevard and Via Linda, according to the Scottsdale Police Department (SPD).
Emergency responders transported the injured children to Phoenix Children’s Hospital for necessary treatment. While their injuries are serious, they are not considered life-threatening at this time.
In the aftermath of the crash, the westbound lanes of Shea Boulevard are closed at 110th Street, and the intersection itself is shut down in all directions. Motorists are advised to use Cactus Road as an alternate route during the closure.
Authorities emphasize that a thorough investigation by the Vehicle Crimes and Reconstruction Unit is underway, and as such, the intersection will remain closed for several hours.
