Nevada Man Faces 11-Year Prison Sentence for Trafficking Teen Girl from Phoenix

A Nevada man has been sentenced to 11 years in prison for trafficking a 16-year-old. Tyree E. Rideaux, 31, entered a guilty plea to the charges and was sentenced this week in Arizona, as reported by the U.S. Attorney’s Office of Arizona.
The case dates back to 2021 when Rideaux met the teenager at a party in Phoenix. He took her to California, where he instructed her to pose as an adult, adopting a false name and advertising her online for sex.
Eventually, the minor found a way to alert authorities by convincing one of the buyers to take her to a hospital. After her escape, she contacted police and was safely returned home, according to prosecutors.
In addition to his prison sentence, Rideaux has been ordered to undergo 15 years of supervised release upon his release from prison.
