Smith-Enke Road Set for Weekend Ease and Breeziness

Traffic delays on Smith-Enke Road are expected to ease as final road restrictions conclude by the end of this weekend. City officials confirmed that paving and milling on the inner lanes were completed earlier this week, with lane striping finishing today.

All lane restrictions will clear this weekend, although an exact timeframe has not been provided. This completion marks an important step for local commuters.

Additionally, the temporary traffic light at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Rancho El Dorado Parkway will be dismantled, reverting the area to a three-way stop. This change comes as the traffic light was initially installed to manage increased shortcuts through the Rancho El Dorado community.

City spokesperson Luis Vila noted that crews are scheduled to return this summer for two weekends of overnight repaving work at the intersection. This continued maintenance aims to improve the overall safety and efficiency of traffic flow in the area.
