Cave Creek Joins Forces to Beautify America: A Commitment to Environmental Excellence
Keep America Beautiful (KAB), a national nonprofit organization, is dedicated to motivating and educating volunteers to maintain clean communities across the United States. With around 700 community affiliates nationwide, KAB’s initiatives aim to engage citizens in local and national cleanup efforts.
During the Town Council meeting on January 6, Mayor Robert Morris announced Cave Creek’s support for the Greatest American Cleanup campaign. This nationwide initiative encourages 25,000 communities to participate in cleanliness efforts in honor of America’s 250th birthday on July 4, 2026.
Local volunteers Thomas Secor and Bobby Herbeck have stepped up to lead the organizing efforts for this campaign. Cave Creek’s commitment includes hosting annual community events designed to foster a cleaner environment.
The planned activities involve organizing three new community cleanups to clear litter from streets and public spaces. In addition, the town will host two events focused on reduce, reuse, and recycle practices, alongside beautification efforts. Lastly, an annual gathering will celebrate the campaign’s achievements and progress.
Participation in the campaign comes at no cost to the Town of Cave Creek. While specific dates for the community activities have yet to be finalized, residents are encouraged to engage in these upcoming events.
