Flour and Thyme Set to Transform Downtown Dining Scene

Anhelo restaurant, located at 114 W. Adams St., #C103 in downtown Phoenix, has officially closed its doors as of Saturday, Nov. 23. Chef and owner Ivan Jacobo announced plans to relocate the eatery to Scottsdale this winter, where he intends to introduce a new concept called Flour and Thyme. This contemporary American bistro is expected to open its doors before the year concludes.
“Closing Anhelo in Phoenix is bittersweet, but I am eager to offer downtown residents and visitors a concept that aligns more closely with their needs,” Jacobo stated. He expressed excitement about the upcoming Scottsdale location, aiming to transform it into a global dining destination.
Jacobo, who holds fond memories of the downtown Phoenix dining scene, sees Flour and Thyme as a way to show appreciation to local diners who supported Anhelo. He anticipates that the restaurant will cater more effectively to patrons, whether they are local residents or visitors attending events in the area. The new menu is set to feature a diverse array of dishes focused on land, sea, and garden, supplemented by a well-curated wine selection and specialty cocktails.
