Christmas Cheer Fades: Where to Recycle Your Holiday Tree in Tucson

Tucson residents looking to dispose of their Christmas trees can take advantage of the TreeCycle program, starting Thursday, December 26, and running until Monday, January 20, 2025. This initiative allows individuals to transform their holiday greenery into compost.
Participants are reminded to remove all lights and ornaments before drop-off. The trees can be left at various designated locations throughout Tucson. Notably, there is a site in Oro Valley, staffed by Kiwanis volunteers, available until January 15, as well as a facility in Marana on Ina Road.
Most drop-off locations are open seven days a week during daylight hours, making it convenient for residents. Here are some of the key sites:
- Oro Valley lot: 9451 N. Egleston Dr. (access from Linda Vista Blvd.)
- Tank’s Ina Land Reclamation Facility: 5300 W. Ina Rd. (Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Saturday 7 a.m. – 2 p.m.)
- Todd M. Harris Sports Complex: 2400 S. Craycroft Rd.
