Cyclist was injured in crash at infamous intersection

A bicyclist was injured in a collision with a car this afternoon at the intersection of Smith-Enke Road and Vintage Drive. The incident occurred at 12:26 p.m., prompting a swift response from the Maricopa Fire and Medical Department, as reported by the Phoenix Regional Dispatch Center.

An adult woman involved in the crash suffered “very minor injuries,” according to MFMD spokesperson Monica Williams. She chose to seek medical treatment independently and did not require transport to a hospital.

The specifics surrounding the cause of the crash have not yet been disclosed. Notably, data from InMaricopa indicates that between October 9 and November 14, there were six significant accidents reported at this particular intersection.
