Tucson Cox Chief Lisa Lovallo Set to Retire at Year’s End
Cox Southern Arizona Vice President Lisa Lovallo will retire at the end of December after 17 years with the company. Lovallo plans to remain active in local business advocacy, having recently played a key role in the merger of Sun Corridor and the Tucson Metro Chamber.
“I’m going to stay engaged in that,” she stated, emphasizing the potential of this merger to revitalize community and governmental interactions. Under her leadership, Cox expanded its services to various new communities, including Huachuca City, Douglas, Eloy, Sycamore Springs, Three Points, and Sierra Vista.
Lovallo also forged a partnership with the Sunnyside School District, which gained recognition as a national model for community collaboration. She expressed her desire to focus on family and leisure activities like golf, reflecting on her fulfilling career.
“I am totally fulfilled with what I have accomplished at Cox and the people I’ve met,” Lovallo commented. “It’s time for me to turn the page on that.” Stephanie Healy will succeed her as the new Southern Arizona vice president, effective January 1.
Healy has been a part of the Southern Arizona Cox branch since 2012 and has led efforts in public affairs, community outreach, and sustainability initiatives. She noted that the cable business has dramatically transformed over the years.
“We’ve moved so far beyond just being the cable provider,” Healy explained. “Internet service has become a significant part of our business, and we’re also expanding into the mobile sector.”
Her involvement in various industry and nonprofit boards, including Arizona Forward and El Rio Health Care, has earned her accolades, such as being recognized as a Women of Influence by Inside Tucson Business.
Healy acknowledged Lovallo’s significant contributions to the community. “Lisa’s shoes are hard to fill. She’s done an amazing job representing Cox and connecting community organizations,” Healy remarked, indicating her intention to build upon Lovallo’s legacy of engagement and partnership.
