Phoenix Suns’ Devin Booker and Nike Debut Striking ‘Sedona’ Sneaker

Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker, a two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, has teamed up with Nike Basketball to unveil a striking new colorway of his signature shoe, the “Book 1.” Dubbed the “Sedona,” this design draws inspiration from the breathtaking landscape found in Sedona, Arizona.
Regarded as one of the elite players in the NBA, Booker is a three-time All-Star known for his relentless work ethic. Nike describes him as a player who meticulously examines every element of his game, aspiring to integrate the fundamentals that defined legendary players before him.
The new iteration features a vibrant red base adorned with intricate upper stitching that reflects the regional topography. The hues “Magic Ember,” “Picante Red,” and “Washed Coral” embody the natural beauty of the area.
Distinctive elements include a tongue tag inscribed with “Sedona Red Rocks” and a heel tab bearing the words “Sedona” along with “No Service.” The sole’s design showcases a playful two-tone striped “candy cane” pattern in red and tan, creating a unique visual appeal.
This release streamlines the shoe further by eliminating the heel tab. Priced at $140, the “Sedona” Nike Book 1 will hit the shelves on January 1.
Throughout his nine seasons in the NBA, Booker amassed a staggering 14,529 points, positioning himself as the fifth player in league history to reach both 14,000 career points and 1,000 career three-pointers prior to his 28th birthday on February 25, 2024. His career averages are impressive: 24.3 points per game, a 46.4 field goal percentage, and a remarkable 87.0 free throw percentage.
Significantly, he joins Kevin Durant as the only players in NBA history to average more than 24 points with a field goal percentage over 45%. In Suns history, he ranks second in career scoring average, trailing only Charlie Scott, and stands as the second all-time leading scorer with 14,529 points. Additionally, he ranks sixth in career assists with 2,993.
Booker and Durant made headlines during the 2022-23 NBA season, combining for 188 points in their first three games together. This achievement marked the highest scoring output by any pair of NBA teammates in their initial three games since the 1963-64 season, and the fourth-most historically, only behind three instances involving Wilt Chamberlain.
On February 24, 2023, Booker further solidified his legacy by becoming the Suns’ all-time leader in three-point field goals, surpassing Steve Nash with a total of 1,151 successful shots from beyond the arc.
