Kiwanis Club of Carefree Christmas for the Kids celebration

Carefree, AZ – The Kiwanis Club of Carefree celebrated a successful Christmas event on November 30, 2024, attracting over 2,600 attendees including 838 children and 1,838 adults. This annual gathering offered families a delightful afternoon filled with holiday spirit, live entertainment, and engaging activities—all free of charge.

Key highlights included animal encounters featuring Zeke the Camel, mini horses from Tender Little Hearts, and raptors from Wild At Heart. Exhibits from Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium added an educational component to the festivities.

Families enjoyed a variety of attractions such as hayrides provided by Infamous Pool Care Cave Creek, bounce houses, and balloon artistry. Entertainment was plentiful, with performances from cowboy singers Gary and Dusty, alongside a special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Attendees also indulged in hotdogs, cotton candy, and popcorn.

A standout moment of the day was the Big Bicycle Giveaway, where sixty children received brand-new bikes. The success of the event was bolstered by enthusiastic volunteers from local clubs and schools, including the Cave Creek Unified School District’s Key Club and Scully Learning Center. Barb Pearse, a member of the Christmas Committee, praised the high school volunteers, stating, “They are stars in my book!”

The Kiwanis Club of Carefree continues to engage the community with such festive events. For more details on their initiatives and how to participate, visit Kiwaniscarefree.org.
