Arizona Police Intensify Search for Remaining 3 of 6 Escapees

WHITERIVER, Ariz. — The White Mountain Apache Police Department issued a community alert as officers continue their search for three inmates who escaped from the White Mountain Apache Tribe Detention Center. The department shared updates via Facebook, identifying the escapees as Julian S. Thomas, Isaiah B. Kindelay, Tyrien W. Thompson, Shaquille Ivins, Rio Joplin, and Brandon Sanchez.

As of 10:25 p.m., Ivins, Kindelay, and Thompson have been recaptured. Law enforcement is actively working to locate the remaining fugitives, Sanchez, Joplin, and Thomas, focusing efforts in the vicinity of the detention center. Additionally, they are reaching out to the inmates’ families and associates for assistance.

Details regarding the offenses for which the inmates were being held, as well as the circumstances surrounding their escape, have not been disclosed by the police department.
