Chanukah in Carefree sets schedule

Chanukah in Carefree is set to celebrate its eighth year with a nightly festival from December 25th to January 1st, illuminating the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion with a 6½-foot Chanukkiah. The festivities kick off each evening at 5:30 PM, featuring traditional songs and holiday cheer. Each night will be hosted by different organizations, offering attendees a chance to savour delicious Chanukah treats like latkes and sufganiyot. Complimentary beverages, including coffee, hot chocolate, and hot apple cider, will be available.

In addition to the celebrations, the event is dedicated to supporting the Foothills Food Bank. Attendees can purchase raffle tickets and participate in a silent auction with items generously donated by local businesses. Notable prizes include a two-night getaway at the Civana Wellness Resort and unique pieces from Grace Renee Gallery. The winners will be revealed each night, culminating in a special Community Night on January 1st, hosted by the Carefree Cave Creek Chamber of Commerce.

State Senator John Kavanagh will join the festivities on Temple Chai Night. Additionally, Maricopa County Supervisor Thomas Galvin will speak on Holocaust Night, December 29th, bringing attention to the newly funded Hilton Family Holocaust Education Center.
