Maricopa is poised to welcome its first 7-Eleven convenience store and gas station, marking a significant development for the area. The planned 4,600-square-foot facility will be situated at the southwest corner of White and Parker and Honeycutt Roads, occupying 1.61 acres.

Proposed by Scottsdale-based De Rito Partners Development Inc., this project includes necessary amenities such as store parking and six gas-pump islands. The development, however, is still in the pre-application phase, indicating interest without a guarantee of construction.

The pre-application states that the gas station and convenience store aim to cater to the community’s workforce and address the expected increase in traffic along Honeycutt. It also highlights the growth in residential and educational establishments along White and Parker Roads.

Previously, another 7-Eleven was proposed in July along John Wayne Parkway. This site, also measuring 4,600 square feet, would include gas pumps and an “auto service pad,” although it remains unconstructed.

In addition, Super Star Car Wash expressed interest in constructing a location near the proposed John Wayne Parkway 7-Eleven, but there have been no further developments on that front.

Currently, the nearest 7-Eleven to Maricopa is located 20 miles north in Tempe, at the intersection of Kyrene and Warner Roads.
