Emerging Talent: Meet Hildy Angius

Hildy Angius, a newcomer in Arizona politics, has quickly become acquainted with the state’s influential figures. Recently elected to the Arizona Senate representing Legislative District 30, she brings extensive experience from her 12 years on the Mohave County Board of Supervisors.
Angius has collaborated with various levels of government and developed relationships with many lawmakers across Arizona during her tenure. “I’ve worked with a lot of these people in my 12 years, and so I kind of hit the ground running,” she stated.
Originally from New York, Angius has lived in Bullhead City since 2005 and transitioned from a marketing career to public service. Significantly, she will be the first individual from Bullhead City to serve in the Arizona Senate since the city’s incorporation in 1984, as reported by the Mohave Daily News.
Angius is poised to serve as vice chair on both the Federalism and Public Safety Committees. Her legislative focus will center on addressing mental illness, addiction, and homelessness. She emphasized the need for bipartisan efforts to tackle these critical issues.
“I’ll be happy to work with anybody who wants to improve the system,” Angius remarked. Inspirational figures for her include President-elect Donald Trump and former state lawmaker Nancy McLain.
