Lake Havasu City celebrated its veterans this week with the annual Veterans Day Parade, held along Main Street. Residents and visitors gathered to honor the significant contributions of local service members, reflecting the city’s deep respect for its veteran community.
The event, organized by Havasu’s Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9401, featured participation from public service organizations, local schools, and first responders. Approximately 14% of the city’s population, or about 8,000 residents, are veterans, a rate substantially higher than the state average.
In addition to the parade, a special ceremony took place at the VFW post. City and state officials joined veterans in dedicating a new Veterans Memorial on London Bridge Road, further solidifying the city’s commitment to honoring its military history.
