Topock Marsh Blazes Early Monday, Road Shutdown as Firefighters Battle Flames

TOPOCK — A fire ignited along County Road 1 early Monday morning, prompting a swift response from local emergency services.
The blaze was first detected at approximately 12:25 a.m., according to PulsePoint, which monitors emergency incidents in the Colorado River valley region. Firefighting units from the Mohave Valley Fire Department and the Golden Shores Fire Department quickly mobilized to the scene.
By 3 a.m., the Mohave Valley Fire Department confirmed via social media that the fire was situated between Mohave Valley and Topock, specifically between North Dyke and 5 Mile Landing.
As a precaution, County Route 1 has been closed, with reports indicating that the closure is expected to last throughout the day.
