Next month, a Midsummer Night’s Tea Party at Global Water

Be Awesome Inc., a nonprofit organization focused on empowering youth in Maricopa, has scheduled its Midsummer Night’s Tea Party fundraising event for November 9. The gathering will take place at the Global Water building, located at 22590 Powers Parkway, from 1 to 3 p.m.

Sponsored by Maricopa City Council Member Vincent Manfredi, Vice Mayor Amber Lierman, and Global Water Resources, the event aims to support Be Awesome’s youth programs. Attendees can look forward to an afternoon filled with tea, pastries, entertainment, magical crafts, and opportunities for fun prizes. Ticket prices are set at $25 for adults and $12 for children under 13, with a dress code encouraging fairy-inspired attire.

All proceeds will directly benefit Be Awesome’s mission to cultivate confident and successful youth through mentoring, educational initiatives, and community engagement. The organization ensures that administrative costs are covered by grants, allowing all funds raised to be directed toward its services.

In the past year alone, Be Awesome has impacted over 250 children through afterschool camps while providing vital information on health and drug prevention. Recent family workshops reported a remarkable 100% of parents applying newfound strengths to foster improved family relationships.

This program year, which kicked off in July, has welcomed 55 children into its afterschool Space Camp Program, along with 15 teens in the leadership-focused Teen Team. Additionally, upwards of 200 residents participated in various free events aimed at community connection, and 17 parents attended a dedicated workshop.

“We are thrilled to host this unique fundraising event and welcome families to support our mission in a fun and magical way,” said Priscilla Behnke, director and co-founder of Be Awesome. “Every dollar raised will go directly to the programs that help our youth thrive.”
