PHOENIX — Officer Tyler Moldovan has undergone surgery after suffering a femur fracture. This injury occurred during a recent fall, marking yet another challenge in his long recovery journey.

Moldovan has been working toward healing for nearly three years following a harrowing incident on December 14, 2021, when he was shot multiple times while on duty with the Phoenix Police Department.

On Friday, a post from Moldovan’s wife, Chelsea, shared details about the unexpected developments. She expressed, “This has been a very unexpected day and wish we could be sharing other great news. Unfortunately, this road to recovery is progressive and we have hit another detour.”

The family announced that Moldovan’s surgery was scheduled for Saturday morning and requested prayers for his recovery. Chelsea noted, “Tyler’s pain has been managed and he is resting in the meantime. He is not in distress thankfully.”
