Tucson seeks feedback on magistrate judges Surhio, Million

A Tucson review board is currently soliciting feedback regarding the reappointment of City Magistrates Lisa Surhio and Wendy Million. The City of Tucson Magistrates Merit Selection Commission is in the process of evaluating their applications and seeks insights from individuals with firsthand experience in their courtrooms.

Written comments must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17. All submissions should be directed to the City Magistrates Merit Selection Commission, located at the City Clerk’s Office, P.O. Box 27210, Tucson, AZ 85726-7210.

Feedback will remain confidential and will be shared with commission members only. Suzanne Mesich, the Tucson city clerk, emphasized that public comments should provide a rationale for the expressed opinions.
