A 60-acre resort next to State Farm Stadium taking shape. Here’s when it’s set to open.

GLENDALE, Ariz. — The VAI Resort, located adjacent to State Farm Stadium, is poised to become Arizona’s largest resort upon completion, according to Sarah Trott, Associate Director of Brand Experiences and Content Development. Set to open its doors at the end of 2025, the resort aims to offer a unique experience inspired by music.

With four hotel towers and 1,100 guest rooms, the VAI Resort will feature 12 restaurants, a man-made beach, and even a dedicated concert venue—the VAI Amphitheater. This venue will not only be remarkable for its design but also for its innovative concept, allowing hotel guests access to exclusive skybox balconies that overlook a state-of-the-art 360-degree stage, capable of hosting both intimate and large-scale performances.

The amphitheater can accommodate approximately 11,000 attendees but has the potential to expand to nearly 20,000 for special events, making it a significant addition to Arizona’s entertainment landscape. Trott emphasized that the venue is designed for today’s top artists, facilitating a seamless performance setup.

“We want people to have memories they’ll never forget,” Trott stated. The design incorporates luxurious elements while remaining accessible to families, making it a multi-generational travel destination. Unique experiences, including private concerts, will be available to guests in rooms strategically facing the stage.

Beyond the music, dining options at the resort will be diverse, ranging from sushi to late-night pizza, supporting various tastes and preferences. A standout dining experience includes a Mexican restaurant that offers beachside views, putting guests’ toes in the sand while enjoying culinary delights. The five-acre VAI Beach and an innovative water feature called Konos Island will add to the resort’s allure.

Trott also highlighted the impressive 130-foot tall Aero Bar attraction, which provides breathtaking views of the Valley. “This is only the second of its kind in the U.S.,” she noted. Additionally, there will be facilities for conferences, weddings, and entertainment, including an attached nightclub and an indoor theater for live shows.

As construction progresses, job opportunities are anticipated, with approximately 2,000 positions expected to be available upon the resort’s opening. Trott mentioned that hiring would begin in the lead-up to the launch. Interested candidates can find more details on the VAI careers page. The phased opening is planned for late 2025, promising an eclectic blend of luxury and leisure in Arizona’s growing hospitality scene.
