5 Must-Visit Eateries and Cafes Earn Top ‘Excellent’ Ratings

Pinal County Environmental Health Department inspectors began their year with a series of restaurant inspections in Maricopa. This week, they evaluated five local eateries to ensure compliance with health standards.
Starting on Monday at 10:30 a.m., the inspectors first visited Papa John’s Pizza. They found no violations, awarding the establishment an “excellent” rating. This restaurant has consistently performed well, achieving top ratings during all five inspections since 2022.
The next stop was Neaux Coffee Company, inspected at 11:35 a.m. Similarly, they reported no significant violations and issued another “excellent” rating, marking the fifth consecutive top mark for the coffee shop.
At 12:30 p.m., the inspectors arrived at Honeycutt Coffee. They identified a single violation due to soil residue found in the ice machine, but staff promptly addressed the issue by cleaning it during the inspection. Consequently, Honeycutt Coffee maintained its “excellent” streak, reaching three perfect inspections out of its last five reviews.
Following that, at 2:30 p.m., inspectors examined Domino’s, where they again encountered no violations and extended an “excellent” rating. This marks the third successive excellent inspection for the pizza chain since 2022.
Returning to Maricopa on Tuesday at 2:10 p.m., the team visited Rili-B’s Taco Shop. Their examination revealed no issues, resulting in a positive assessment. However, it’s worth noting that this establishment has received a mix of ratings in past inspections, with four out of six since 2022 landing at “satisfactory.”
The ratings issued by inspectors carry significant implications for public health. An “excellent” rating indicates full compliance with priority standards, while “satisfactory” suggests minor issues that were rectified on-site. “Needs improvement” reflects ongoing compliance concerns, and “unacceptable” ratings denote serious health hazards.
As the year unfolds, these inspections remain crucial for ensuring the safety and health of dining options in the community.
