4 Pima volleyball players named to the All-ACCAC/Region I teams

The Pima Community College volleyball team achieved an impressive milestone in its 2024 season, with four players earning spots on the All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) and Region I, Division II teams.

Sophomore outside hitter Haylee Gilleland from Flagstaff High School garnered first team honors. She led the ACCAC Division II in kills, amassing an impressive 392 kills at an average of 4.00 per set over 26 matches. Additionally, she recorded 330 digs, 47 blocks, and 27 service aces, demonstrating her all-around game.

Freshman outside hitter Maggie McReynolds, representing Mountain View High School, was honored with a second team selection. She contributed 315 kills, averaging 3.00 per set from 996 attacks across 28 matches. Her defensive prowess was evident with 340 digs and 42 service aces.

Sophomore middle blocker Kenna Simon earned Honorable Mention status. She tallied 182 kills on 449 attacks in 28 matches and excelled defensively with 59 total blocks and 41 digs.

Sophomore libero Jasmin Joseph, hailing from Tanque Verde High School, also received Honorable Mention recognition. She led the team with 413 digs, averaging 4.39 per set, and contributed significantly with 80 assists and 40 service aces.

Pima concluded the season with a record of 17-14, marking the highest number of overall wins since 2015. They achieved a 12-6 conference record, the best in program history, and finished third at the Region I, Division II Tournament after a notable victory over the top-seeded Glendale Community College.
