3 Explosive Devices Discovered Near Southern Arizona Park in Just One Week

PHOENIX — Authorities in Sahuarita, Arizona, have reported the discovery of three explosive devices in a local park over the past week. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that two devices were identified on Friday alone.
The regional bomb squad was initially called last week to Parque del Sol, where one device was safely removed from the vicinity near South Rancho Sahuarita Boulevard and East Camino Rancho Tierra. On Friday at approximately 5:30 a.m., the sheriff’s department and bomb squad responded to reports of another device found in the same park.
Described as measuring between four to six inches in length and two inches in width, both devices were successfully disarmed by the bomb squad, officials stated.
Later that day, authorities reported a third explosive device in the same area under investigation. The sheriff’s department has emphasized the importance of community vigilance. “If you see something, say something,” they urged.
This story remains developing, and new information is being sought by officials.
