2 juveniles shot at Phoenix recreation center


Phoenix police confirmed that two children, a girl and a boy, sustained gunshot wounds and are currently hospitalized with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The incident occurred at a recreation center located at the intersection of 23rd Avenue and Minnezona, around 6 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officers found both victims requiring immediate medical attention.

Authorities reported that the shooting took place near the Marc Atkinson Recreation Center and Kid Street Park. The identity of the suspect or suspects remains unknown, as they fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.
