The Maricopa Police Department has confirmed that the individual who lost his life in a train incident on Friday was a 16-year-old boy from Maricopa.
According to spokesperson Monica Williams, “Initially, the individual was identified as an adult male. However, following further investigation, the individual was a 16-year-old from Maricopa.”

Williams expressed condolences, stating, “Our hearts go out to the family, friends, and all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.”
The incident occurred near the intersection of Plainview Street and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway, close to the train station. Reports emerged from InMaricopa, which was the first to cover the fatal accident.
