16 Maricopa Eateries Shine with Flawless Inspection Scores in February

Maricopa Restaurants Achieve Impeccable Food Safety Ratings
In a remarkable showing of compliance, all 16 Maricopa restaurants inspected by the Pinal County Environmental Health Department received excellent ratings throughout February 2023. Inspectors noted the attention to food safety among local establishments, suggesting a strong community commitment to health standards.
On February 3, inspectors evaluated popular spots such as Slim Chickens, Bahama Buck’s, and the Walmart deli. No violations were reported, highlighting their adherence to food safety protocols. The trend continued on February 11, when establishments like McDonald’s and Cold Stone Creamery also passed without incident.
The following day marked visits to IHOP, Nando’s Mexican Café, Papa Murphy’s, and Cilantro’s Mexican Cocina. Notably, Cilantro’s received a citation for not having a certified food protection manager present, though other locations maintained high standards.
The inspections continued with Thai Chili 2go and Jack in the Box achieving excellent ratings on February 18. By the end of the month, Sonic Drive-In, Yogurt Jungle, and Plaza Bonita all met compliance standards during inspections conducted on February 26.
Recent inspections in Stanfield at El Mandilon also returned no violations, reinforcing the overall trend of commitment to food safety in the Maricopa area.
The ratings provided by inspectors are vital for understanding food safety compliance. An “excellent” rating indicates that all priority standards were met, while “satisfactory” means some corrections are needed but were addressed during the inspection. “Needs improvement” marks additional corrections needed in follow-up inspections, while “unacceptable” warns of severe health hazards that must be rectified to protect public health.
This comprehensive approach to food safety ensures that residents and visitors can enjoy meals across Maricopa with confidence in the hygiene standards of local eateries.
