A significant traffic incident has occurred on Honeycutt Road in Maricopa, resulting in one person being transported to a hospital. The rollover crash took place shortly after 5:30 p.m., involving a dark-colored SUV and a white pickup truck towing a trailer.

The collision, characterized as a T-bone, has led to extensive road closures. Continental Boulevard is blocked in both directions, with northbound lanes closed from White and Parker Road. Honeycutt Road is shut down westbound, while eastbound traffic is limited to a single lane.

Emergency services, including Maricopa Fire Engines 572 and 575, along with three police units, responded to the scene. Paramedics were seen loading an injured male onto a stretcher for transport around 5:50 p.m., with the ambulance reportedly coming from the Ak-Chin Indian Community.

The impact of the crash resulted in the pickup truck overturning, severely crushing its cab, while the trailer, still attached, remained upright. Initial observations indicated it was carrying landscaping equipment, such as trash cans and a lawn mower.

By 6 p.m., municipal crews were actively clearing debris from the roadway. Officials have been contacted regarding the investigation into the cause of the accident and the specifics of any injuries sustained.
