A significant head-on collision disrupted afternoon traffic in Rancho El Dorado on April 7, 2025. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of Desert Greens Drive and Rancho El Dorado Parkway.

This intersection has consistently been a hotspot for accidents, with five major collisions reported between August and November last year, according to crash statistics.

The crash involved a red Chrysler Pacifica and a white Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. Emergency responders arrived quickly, with one individual requiring a stretcher at approximately 2:45 p.m. Their injuries have not yet been disclosed.

This incident marks the fourth reported accident of the day. Earlier, two wrecks occurred at the Smith-Enke Road and John Wayne Parkway intersection during lunchtime, and a pair of elementary school children were struck while riding a scooter in Glennwilde this morning.

InMaricopa has reached out to Maricopa police for further details regarding the head-on crash, which appears to be the most serious incident of the day thus far. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
