Trevor Noah Returns as Host for the Grammy Awards!

Trevor Noah has been confirmed as the host for the 2024 Grammy Awards. This will mark his fifth consecutive year in this role, as announced by the Grammys on Tuesday. Noah, renowned for his tenure on Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show,” will lead the evening of entertainment on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, airing live on CBS.
The upcoming ceremony also aims to contribute to relief efforts in response to wildfires that significantly impacted the Los Angeles area, highlighting a commitment to community support alongside the celebration of music.
Telecast ratings have shown a consistent upward trend in recent years. The 2024 ceremony reached a peak viewership of 16.9 million, the highest since 2020. Last year, Noah’s comedic commentary included jests about pop culture phenomena, specifically Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, along with humorous takes on TikTok. His quip about unpredictability likened the experience to flying in a Boeing airplane.
With Noah hosting, he will wear multiple hats, also serving as a producer and a nominee for Best Comedy Album with “Where Was I.” This follows his last nomination for “I Wish You Would,” where he was edged out by Dave Chappelle. The competition this year includes Chappelle, Ricky Gervais, Jim Gaffigan, and Nikki Glaser, the latter also known for her role as a Golden Globes host.
Leading the nominations this year is Beyoncé, with multiple nods including Album of the Year for “Cowboy Carter.” Post Malone, along with Billie Eilish, Kendrick Lamar, and Charli XCX, is tied with seven nominations, the latter earning recognition as a solo artist for the first time.
