Temps getting closer to record range!

High temperatures are expected to reach the low 80s at the start of December, providing a warm embrace for residents in Arizona.

PHOENIX — The state is enjoying a delightful beginning to December, with abundant sunshine and Valley afternoon temperatures hovering near 80 degrees. This stands in stark contrast to the seasonal average high of 70 degrees.

Weather patterns across the western United States are likely to remain stable throughout the upcoming week, allowing temperatures in the Valley to trend towards the upper 70s and lower 80s—about 10 degrees above normal. While unusual, this warmth will likely not break records; however, Tuesday’s projected high of 81 degrees aligns with a daily record.

Rainfall remains out of the question for the next seven days in Phoenix, extending a remarkable 100-day streak without measurable precipitation. Despite the dry spell seeming substantial, it’s worth noting that this is the desert; Phoenix’s records reveal longer dry periods exist. To date, the city has received 4.54 inches of rain this year, which is 70% of the average.

Seven-Day Forecast:

MONDAY: 56/82 Warm sunshine

TUESDAY: 55/81 Above normal

WEDNESDAY: 54/78 Mostly sunny

SUNDAY: 54/77 Partly cloudy
