SWAT Drama in Heritage District: Police Reveal Identities of Two Arrested
Maricopa Police Department has disclosed the identities of two individuals arrested following a SWAT team raid in the Heritage District on Wednesday. The Pinal County Regional SWAT team assisted MPD detectives in executing a search warrant on the 20000 block of Taft Avenue, resulting in the arrest of Jesi A. Garcia, 38, and David Fryer, 61.
MPD spokesperson Monica Williams stated that Garcia was taken into custody on charges including possession of narcotic drugs, drug paraphernalia, shoplifting, and other bench warrants. Public court records reveal Garcia has been arrested 10 times previously for crimes involving drug possession, theft, and trespassing.
Fryer was also booked but the specific details of his charges have not yet been made available. According to Williams, the SWAT team was deployed due to potential risk associated with the residence, a standard procedure in such operations.
