Salima’s Mission: Effortless Recipes Made Simple
Salima Ragland has released her second cookbook, titled Salima’s Purpose: Easy, Peezy Recipes. This guide targets anyone looking to streamline their cooking process, allowing them to spend more time enjoying life. It caters specifically to busy parents, social workers, and professionals, and aims to foster independence in those with physical or neurological challenges.
The book spans 117 pages and features 5-ingredient or fewer recipes, primarily plant-based and low in sugar. Each recipe is designed for simplicity, focusing on delivering rich flavors without lengthy prep times. Additionally, the cookbook includes Salima’s unique charcuterie strategy and practical advice on healthy eating, such as the importance of hydration and incorporating a variety of colorful foods.
Currently, Easy, Peezy Recipes is available on Amazon Kindle, with a hardcover edition expected soon, showcasing vibrant images of Salima, her culinary creations, and helpful tips.
Beyond her writing endeavors, Salima is pursuing a certificate in Language Studies at Glendale Community College. This path enhances her role as an American Sign Language performer while allowing her to serve as a mentor for individuals with neurological differences. She aspires to become a hand model in the future. Scott Turner, the photographer, has captured the essence of both this book and Salima’s previous work, Salima’s Purpose: Unfolding Her Umbrella of Love & Gratitude.
Salima resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where she shares her life with her family.
