Pin-Up Contest Revvs Up Tomorrow with Tiki Bar and Hotrods for a Worthy Cause!
A nostalgic celebration of the 1940s will unfold this weekend in Maricopa. The event features a pin-up contest that combines vintage allure with a tiki bar and classic hot rods, all aimed at supporting veterans.
Samanthalynn Peterson, the owner of Az Car Show Babez and local resident, will host the second annual tiki pin-up contest from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday at The Roost. Under her pin-up persona, Vixen VonRaven, Peterson hopes to empower participants by highlighting their self-worth through this unique platform.
The inaugural contest took place in Marana last year and was well-received. This year, Peterson anticipates about 20 pin-ups registered to compete, showcasing both talent and style. Post-contest, car owners will have the opportunity to engage in photoshoots with the pin-ups.
Although registration has closed for contestants, the event invites the public to come, enjoy the contest, and partake in tropical adult beverages while viewing the festivities.
The event will also include a 50/50 raffle and additional raffles featuring donated items, such as a $200 tattoo voucher for the Enchanted Dragon in Tucson. Attendees must be present to win any raffle prizes, and all proceeds will benefit the Phoenix-based Legends Military Store.
