The Phoenix Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) is gearing up for a new membership drive set for January 2025. This mother-daughter volunteer organization focuses on empowering young women while fostering strong family bonds through community service.

Founded in 1925, the NCL has grown to include over 200,000 members and alumni across the United States. In the last year alone, NCL chapters collectively devoted nearly three million hours of service, benefitting more than 6,000 local charities. This impressive effort resulted in a fiscal impact estimated at $87 million.

The Phoenix Chapter, established in 1995, boasts nearly 300 members, comprising mothers and daughters from seventh grade to high school. The chapter prioritizes service to various philanthropic organizations, including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, St. Vincent de Paul, Nourish Phoenix, Homeward Bound, and Amanda Hope.

Running from January 15 to March 1, the membership drive invites local residents to apply. Eligible girls typically attend schools like Xavier College Prep, Arizona School of the Arts, and Sunnyslope High School, among others. Interested individuals can access the membership application on the NCL’s official website.
