Case closed on missing teen feared to be dead

After 203 days of uncertainty, police have officially closed the case of missing Tortosa teen, Talesa Predmore. The 18-year-old reestablished contact with authorities and her private investigator, confirming her safety, according to the Maricopa Police Department.

Talesa went missing on January 1st, and for months, neither family members nor friends had any clue about her whereabouts. Just eleven days ago, a Phoenix-based private investigator expressed grave concerns about her wellbeing, even fearing she might be dead. However, the tide turned when Predmore turned 18. She reached out to notify law enforcement that she was alive and well.

“Talesa Predmore is no longer a missing person,” MPD spokesperson Monica Williams stated. “She recently turned 18 and reached out to the Maricopa Police Department to clear the missing person report.”

After meeting with officers to verify her safety, the case was formally closed. “Talesa’s mother, Shannon Predmore, mentioned that the last interaction with her daughter had been completely ordinary.

“I said goodnight to her, she said goodnight, and she wasn’t there in the morning,” Shannon Predmore recalled. She suspected Talesa’s former boss at a local car wash might have played a significant role in her disappearance.

Shannon enlisted the help of Search & Rescue/Missing Person Private Investigator Chris Castorena on June 10. Today, Castorena confirmed the case closure, shedding light on the details surrounding Talesa’s departure. “This was a well-thought-out and planned decision by her and the adult male she was with,” Shannon Predmore explained. “She intentionally waited for her 18th birthday to legally notify authorities of her safety.”

In concluding remarks, Shannon accepted her daughter’s choices as an adult, stating, “We love our daughter and will miss her greatly but no longer have to live in anguish.”
