Mesa Police K9 Uncovers Hidden Drugs in Traffic Stop Drama
MESA, Ariz. — The Mesa Police Department has reported a successful traffic stop that led to the seizure of nearly two pounds of illicit drugs. The incident occurred on September 16, when officers from the Fiesta Street Crimes unit suspected a vehicle of transporting illegal substances.
During the stop, K9 Nick was deployed to investigate further. His keen sense of smell alerted officers to the presence of narcotics. Subsequent searches uncovered 1.1 pounds of heroin and 0.75 pounds of cocaine. Additionally, a firearm and $2,700 in cash were found in the vehicle.
