Havasu’s Constitution Week returns for third year with week-long events

Lake Havasu City is set to commemorate U.S. Constitution Week, highlighting the importance of America’s foundational document. This marks the third year of the event organized by a local nonprofit, occurring annually from September 17 to September 23 across the nation.

The upcoming events promise to deepen the community’s understanding of the Constitution amid a range of activities planned in Havasu. Notably, these engagements are distinct from the traditional bell-ringing ceremony led by the Daughters of the American Revolution Havasu Chapter.

Pastor David Rose of Restoration Hope Church is stepping into a prominent role this year, with many events hosted at his church—a departure from previous locations. “We’re excited,” said Rose. “We think it’s a great opportunity.”

Kicking off the week, a speaking engagement featuring Elizabeth Eastman and her husband, former Donald Trump lawyer John Eastman, starts at 6 p.m. at Restoration Hope Church. Additionally, attendees can enjoy film screenings on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, showcasing works produced by actor and author Kirk Cameron, also beginning at 6 p.m.

Following the film screenings, the week continues with prominent speakers such as Steven Maikoski and Douglas Gibbs scheduled for Thursday and Friday evenings, respectively, all commencing at 6 p.m. on-site.

The festivities culminate in a Constitution Week Rally at Great American Pizza in Golden Valley on Saturday at 4 p.m. Attendees can look forward to live music and keynote speaker Douglas Gibbs adding excitement to the event.

Restoration Hope Church is located at 3430 McCulloch Blvd. N., while Great American Pizza can be found at 6775 Hwy. 68 in Golden Valley.
