Havasu man arrested in alleged feud over marijuana advertising

A manager at a local marijuana dispensary has been arrested following a violent confrontation with employees from a rival dispensary. This incident took place last week and centers around a sign that sparked animosity between the two establishments.

Trevor J. Evans, 31, is the manager of Farm Fresh Medical Marijuana Dispensary located at 790 Lake Havasu Avenue. Employees at his dispensary discovered a sign promoting a competing business nearby and brought it to Evans’s attention.

In a series of escalating events, Evans transported the sign to the rival dispensary, where he allegedly spat on it and defaced its contents. This act reportedly led to a heated confrontation with employees at the competing dispensary, during which Evans purportedly threatened to “torch” the place and resorted to violent language against its staff.

Multiple witnesses corroborated that Evans was the instigator of the altercation, as documented in the police report. When officers arrived at the scene, they spoke with Evans, who acknowledged that he had engaged in a heated discussion with the rival employees but denied making any threats of arson.

As a result of the altercation, police arrested Evans on two counts of making threats and two counts of disorderly conduct. The incident raises concerns about the competitive climate within the growing cannabis industry.
