Maricopa Police have arrested 21-year-old Christopher D. Mosley-Coner, who is facing serious charges for his involvement in an armed robbery of a drug dealer on Wednesday afternoon. The suspect is charged with armed robbery and first-degree trafficking in stolen property.

The incident occurred at the Copa Flats apartment complex on North Porter Road around 12:44 p.m. Officers responded promptly to reports of the ongoing robbery.

According to the police report, Mosley-Coner arranged to meet the victim under the pretense of purchasing marijuana. After getting into the drug dealer’s vehicle and engaging in casual conversation, he allegedly signaled an accomplice using the codeword “it’s green.”

When the accomplice approached, he brandished a handgun and demanded all of the victim’s belongings, saying, “I need everything.” The duo then stole the victim’s marijuana and cell phone before fleeing the scene.

Authorities later located the stolen cell phone in a different neighborhood by tracking its GPS signal. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle involved in the crime was registered to Mosley-Coner, and the victim positively identified him during a police lineup.

The accomplice involved in the robbery has yet to be apprehended. “The reported accomplice has not been arrested; however, this case remains under active investigation,” stated MPD spokesperson Monica Williams.

Mosley-Coner has been booked into Pinal County jail, where he faces up to 28 years in prison, marking a significant legal consequence for his actions.
