Festival focuses on ‘local’

Residents can meet the makers, creators, and dreamers behind local businesses at the Nov. 9 Local Arizona First Fall Festival at Margaret T. Hance Park.

Local First Arizona’s annual Arizona Fall Festival returns to Margaret T. Hance Park, located at 67 W. Culver St., on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This popular event is a celebration of local commerce and community spirit.

Originating 18 years ago with only 27 vendors at the Duck and Decanter parking lot, the festival has expanded significantly. Now featuring over 200 vendors, it has emerged as the largest community event at the park, fostering pride in local businesses and boosting the local economy.

Designed as a free, family-friendly, and dog-friendly event, the festival showcases the essence of Arizona. A special “Kid Zone,” sponsored by Risas Dental and Braces, will offer games, crafts, and activities appealing to families. For adults, the AZ Beverage Garden will feature a wide selection of locally crafted beers, wines, and spirits, with tasting tickets available for purchase.

In addition to beverages and children’s activities, attendees can enjoy live music performances, a culinary showcase with over 40 restaurants and food trucks, and the opportunity to directly engage with local business owners. The Fall Fest Silent Auction will also take place, offering exclusive local experiences and gifts for bidders.
