Exotic Reptile Shop Slithers into a New Home

Desert Grown Reptiles & Exotic Pets is making strides in Hidden Valley, relocating to a new location today.

Owner Rubin Rivera announced that the store will welcome customers at its new address, 49936 W. Mayer Boulevard, starting at 11 a.m. tomorrow. Previously, the business operated from the Raceway strip mall on Papago Road for over a year, specializing in a variety of reptiles, enclosures, and supplies.

The relocation aims to enhance accessibility for customers in a more rural, residential area within the unincorporated desert farmland community. Rivera noted the former shop location will make room for a new marijuana dispensary, which is set to open next to the nearby dive bar.

Desert Grown Reptiles not only provides a home for snakes and lizards but also offers essential food items such as insects and rodents, catering to the needs of exotic pet owners. This move signals an exciting new chapter for the business and its loyal clientele.
