Drunken Assault at Havasu Bar: Man Attacks Woman before Being Ejected by Security
A man in Lake Havasu City faces serious allegations following an incident at a local bar. The event, which unfolded on August 30, led to a confrontation between the accused and security personnel in the establishment’s parking lot.
Officers responded to a call from a business located on the 3100 block of Maricopa Avenue. Upon arrival, law enforcement found 58-year-old Troy W. Hunt subdued on the ground, restrained by a member of the bar’s security staff.
Witnesses reported that Hunt was seen engaging in inappropriate behavior, including touching multiple women’s hair and buttocks. After being instructed to leave, he reportedly refused, escalating tensions among patrons who became increasingly hostile towards him.
As Hunt continued to defy requests to exit, security personnel intervened. An altercation ensued, resulting in Hunt being forcibly removed and subsequently held on the ground by a security guard until police could take control of the situation.
The alleged victim, who knew Hunt through a mutual friend, described a disturbing encounter. While attending the bar with her fiancé, Hunt allegedly grabbed her ponytail and later made an unwanted advance by touching her buttocks, prompting her to reprimand him.
Security staff intervened to prevent the woman’s fiancé from confronting Hunt as he was ushered outside. Law enforcement arrested Hunt for multiple offenses, including misdemeanor assault, disorderly conduct, and criminal trespassing.
Initially held on a bond of $2,500, Hunt posted bail on September 4. Court proceedings are currently ongoing at the Lake Havasu Municipal Court.
