Community Unites: Walk in Memory of Slain 17-Year-Old in Parker
Friends and family of 17-year-old Anthony Logan, who was shot and killed in Parker last month, will be hosting a community walk on Wednesday as they continue to seek answers.
Logan was shot while sitting in his car at Western Park the night of June 24. Logan’s mother, Tonia Stone, said at the time that she believed it was a random shooting and had no idea why he would have been targeted.
Wednesday’s community walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. in a vacant lot next to Ruperto’s. Stone said from there they will walk to Western Park, where several people will speak.
Those interested in joining the walk are urged to make signs and wear red. Stone said she hopes people will come out and show support.
Logan would be a senior at Ombudsman Alternative School this year, and Stone said he was looking forward to graduating.
“Well everyone is getting their kids ready to start school again, people complaining about school shopping, class schedule, attitudes. Lol. I want that back it saddens me that your time was cut short and you not here,” Stone said in a recent Facebook post. “Anthony Logan I love and miss you so much, adjusting without you is so hard I still can’t believe you’re gone. You’ll always be my high school senior Class of 2025.”
Anyone with information about the shooting can reach the CRIT Police Department at 928-669-1386.
