PHOENIX — Big Lots is expected to close several stores nationwide, including multiple locations in Arizona.
Earlier this summer, the national retailer indicated in documents filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that it planned to close up to 40 stores, according to CBS News.
The company operates more than 1,300 stores across the country.
The Big Lots website indicates that several branches will be closing soon. Arizona currently has 34 stores, and the following locations have been marked as “closed”:

- Phoenix, 230 East Bell Road
- Phoenix, 2330 West Bethany Home Road
- Phoenix, 4727 East Bell Road
- Phoenix, 4835 East Ray Road
- Flagstaff, 1416 East Route 66
- Glendale, 17510 North 75th Avenue
- Laveen, 3630 West Baseline Road
- Mesa, 2840 East Main Street
- Mesa, 6839 East Main Street
- Peoria, 24760 North Lake Pleasant Parkway
- Scottsdale, 10220 North 90th Street
- Tucson, 4525 North Oracle Road
No official closing date has been announced, but the stores seem to be offering discounts on merchandise.
