USA Today has unveiled its latest rankings of the top fast-food restaurants in the nation, with a surprising shift at the top. Chick-fil-A, which had dominated the list for nearly a decade, has fallen to the third spot.

PHOENIX — According to a recent report by USA Today, there’s a new leader in the fast-food industry. Del Taco has claimed the title of the top fast-food restaurant in the United States.

Del Taco, known for its diverse menu featuring everything from burritos to burgers, secured the top spot. The chain offers a variety of options, including a dedicated breakfast menu and vegan-friendly choices.

With 40 locations across Arizona, Del Taco’s popularity continues to rise. KFC also moved ahead of Chick-fil-A, taking second place thanks to its enduring appeal and iconic “finger-lickin’ good” chicken.

Other notable entries in the top 10 include In-N-Out Burger at number 4 and Hardee’s/Carl’s Jr. at number 5. The list continues with Captain D’s, Taco Bell, Popeye’s, Zaxby’s, and Arby’s, rounding out the top 10.

USA Today has also published other top 10 lists in recent days. QDOBA Mexican Eats was named the top fast-casual restaurant, with Biscuitville taking the title of best breakfast restaurant.

The Double Char from The Habit Burger Grill was awarded the best fast-food burger, while Jollibee triumphed in the best fried chicken category.

Del Taco’s fries were recognized as the best, surpassing Jack in the Box and McDonald’s. The Habit Burger Grill’s tempura green beans won the best fast food side.

El Pollo Loco, Taziki’s Mediterranean Café, and Tropical Smoothie Cafe were highlighted for quick, healthy dining options. Lastly, PrimoHoagies was named the top sandwich shop, edging out Subway and Potbelly Sandwich Works.
