Bullhead City Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Arson Suspect
BULLHEAD CITY — Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a string of arson incidents.
On Sunday, June 23, between 8 and 9 p.m., several fires were deliberately set across multiple locations. These included a trash can fire in the 1700 block of Highway 95, a brush fire behind Lowe’s Home Improvement at 1680 Highway 95, and four trash cans set ablaze behind Safeway at 1751 Highway 95.
The suspected individual is described as a potentially transient, white male in his late 20s to early 30s, with short brown hair.
On Monday, the police appealed to the public for help via social media, urging anyone with information to contact detectives at 928-763-9200.
At approximately 8:35 p.m. on June 23, a Bullhead City Fire medical crew alerted police dispatch to a 5-foot by 5-foot brush fire behind Lowe’s. The crew immediately requested fire engine assistance.
Nineteen minutes later, emergency responders were sent to address three dumpster fires behind Safeway. The fires were contained within the bins and did not spread to any buildings.
In another related incident, dispatch reported a yard fire on Georgia Lane that residents managed to extinguish before notifying authorities. The Bullhead City Fire Department also deployed a crew to the residence.
Fire officials have yet to determine any connection between these incidents.
