Alcohol Linked to Saturday’s Dramatic Crash Near London Bridge

Lake Havasu City Police are investigating a late-night incident on Saturday that saw a vehicle leave the roadway near the London Bridge and rest beside Papa Leone’s Pizza. Preliminary reports suggest alcohol may have played a role in the crash.

The accident unfolded when a driver, heading west on McCulloch Boulevard, noticed pedestrians in the crosswalk. In an attempt to avoid hitting them, the driver swerved, which caused the vehicle to crash through a metal railing and end up on the grass below.

Fortunately, the London Bridge sustained no damage from the incident. Authorities have yet to confirm whether there were any injuries resulting from the crash.
