Arizona State Senator Janae Shamp has publicly condemned a controversial artistic display featuring a nude statue of former President Donald Trump. This statue, which was displayed on a crane in Las Vegas and later in Phoenix, has drawn significant criticism.

In a press release, Shamp, a Republican, described the statue as “sick and deplorable.” She expressed her outrage, stating, “Many Americans have recently lost their lives or livelihoods due to Hurricane Helene. Yet, our federal government has exhausted aid funds, having allocated nearly $1 billion in FEMA resources to address issues related to illegal immigration and the Biden-Harris administration’s border policies.”

Shamp emphasized the pressing issues facing American families, saying, “Families are struggling with inflation, and lives are at risk due to fentanyl trafficking. We need solutions and unity, not disruptive political theater. This project is a shameful misuse of resources and should cease immediately.”
